Twenty-four journalists from China, Myanmar, Laos, and Bangladesh have participated in a tour of Baoshan in southwest China's Yunnan Province. The "China Walk" media event was co-hosted by CMG's Asian-African Languages Center and Baoshan's Municipal Publicity Department. During the tour, the team explored China's modernization through high-quality development, rural revitalization, and eco-governance. The resulting "China Walk" series, featuring first-person narratives, will air globally on CGTN and partner networks. Mini-documentaries, livestreams, and multimedia reports will also be released.
LATTHANAPHONE INTHALANGSY, Host of Lao National Television "These past few days, we have explored the entire coffee industry chain, from planting to consumption, and learned about the development of modern agriculture and cultural tourism in various regions. There are many experiences worth learning from and emulating. When I return to Laos, I will share what I've seen and heard here with the people and experts of Laos. I believe this will definitely inspire the Lao people."
SAW EI MON, Host of Myanmar National Television "What impressed me most during this trip was the selenium-rich apple plantation in Damai Village, Shidian County. The local government and enterprises, based on the characteristics of the natural environment, introduced suitable apple varieties and adopted purely natural planting techniques. While developing the industry, they also helped villagers find employment locally, increasing their income."
SYED SHAH SHAHAN SHAH UL HOQUE, Producer, "Focus on China", Bangladesh RTV "During this trip to Baoshan, we visited and learned about the development of rural industries and infrastructure construction in various places, especially tea, coffee, and mushroom cultivation. What impressed me most was the local government's strategic planning for rural development, which was tailored to local conditions and organically combined with the rural economy, tourism and agricultural development."
