The inaugural Tengchong Young Scientist Award was presented to 18 innovators under the age of 40. Meanwhile, the 2025 Tengchong Grand Science Prize was awarded to Academician Pan Jianwei, the "Quantum Pioneer"—who, along with his team, has turned quantum communication from theory into reality, building a great wall of information security for China.
